Good Content Is Key To A Successful Video

With an average of 72 hours of video being uploaded to YouTube every minute, it can be a daunting task to make a video, or have a Temecula Web design company do it for you, that can stand out among the competition. You can make your creative voice be hear if you follow some simple guidelines when creating a video.

While an online video doesn’t have to be done by professional videographers, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to look professionally done. Any person presenting information  should be dressed at least in business casual attire and should stick with solid colors to avoid problems with the camera not being able to focus properly on designs or patterns in the clothing.

Also, have the presenter memorize his lines and practice them beforehand. Having someone just “wing it” can lead to a poor product.

When creating an online video, keep in mind that it is something completely different from television. This is because online viewers can interact with it and have control of it. This means online viewers have more of a choice about what they watch than television viewers, who are more laid back and have less control over what they watch.

This means an online video needs to be more engaging and grab the attention of the viewers early in it. Also, it should be kept short. It should be kept to two or three minutes long unless it is more engaging than usual.

For a video to be engaging, the content needs to be authentic. This means, you shouldn’t just be doing a video of someone doing a sales pitch for you products or services. You need to provide real value to the viewers, so they will stay and watch the video and hopefully share it with their friends.

The video also needs to be relevant. It needs to be about something that the targeted audience can relate to, and the more this is one on the emotional level, the better.

While video is primarily a visual medium, don’t forget the audio side of it as well. Plan out how you can improve the audio side of the video by planning to record the video in a private place with little background noise, if any. You also want to be aware of sounds you want to include in your video so you can be sure to pick up the sounds.

The reason you want viewers to see your video is that an average of 55 percent of viewers will go to the website of those that created the video, according to a study done by the Kelsey Group. So, just getting eyes on a video can have a tremendous effect on the rest of your online marketing efforts.

However, your results will be even greater if you have some sort of call to action. This means you direct the online viewers to visit your website, call your company or even print out a coupon. This will really help the viewers to be engaged with your company.

Just remember that making quality videos takes come practice. You can try to get a hang of it yourself, or have a Temecula Web design company do your video for you.
